Abstract

The paper describes a data acquisition system using Labview software for acquiring data from various transducers namely accelerometers, velocity pickups, proximity probes and other sensors mounted at various locations of a TG (Turbine Generator) 210 MW set, in thermal power plants. Data from transducers can be acquired on different channels and various parameters can be set for each channel like channel number, channel name, sensitivity units and scan rate. Delay between acquisitions can also be set. Data can be stored in the programmable files, containing complete header information. Data can also be acquired continuously. Powerful and convenient data acquisition, storage and retrieval mechanisms ensure that desired data will be available whenever required.
